★ SMARTY… More large pix of Salman Khan arriving at Shamshabad Airport for Mental shooting (Hyderabad, June 27th 2013) !
Salman Khan, one of Hindi film industry’s commercially most successful actor, completes his silver jubilee in Bollywood this year. His younger brother, actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan says Salman’s own decisions have helped his career to flourish all through the years.
“Salman has had a flourishing career by making his own desisions,” Arbaaz told reporters here Thursday at the launch of Gillete Fusion Power.
Arbaaz says it’s not wise to pinpoint the failures in one’s career.
“Normally, most decisions you take may be right, but sometimes, you take the decisions that fail, like in between you do the films that don’t work. But that doesn’t matter! The average matters.”
“Like in cricket, you have the average (score). So, same way in films, if you have done 10 films, (it matters depending) how many of them have been liked by the audiences, and have been successful,” he added.
Talking about Salman’s career in specific, the 45-year-old said: “If you see Salman’s career graph, you will see that most of his films have worked, done well and that’s why he is at this position today.”
Salman made his debut in 1988 with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi, but as the main lead his first film was Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989. He gave commercial hits like Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Karan Arjun, Judwaa, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, Biwi No.1 and Hum Saath Saath Hain.
In recent hits, he cemented his position with five back-to-back blockbusters — Dabangg,Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger and Dabangg 2.
But Salman never turns to his brother for advice.
“Neither do I need to give advice to him nor he wants it realistically. He has now developed a kind of sense and judgement… in which image, which films and which people he has to work,” he added.

All systems are go for the incarcerated star-son Sooraj Panscholi’s acting debut. Contrary to reports, filmmaker Subhash Ghai has nothing to do with the remake of his Jackie Shroff starrer Hero, and he definitely is not in two minds about Sooraj Panscholi’s presence in the remake of Hero.
Says Ghai, “I am busy shooting Kaanchi. It (the remake of Hero) is entirely Salman’s call. He is the producer. I’ve not talked about it with Salman.”
On Wednesday, Sooraj’s father Aditya spoke to Salman about the project. And Salman says he has no reservations about the project at all.
Reliable sources tell us that Salman Khan and Suneil Shetty have decided to move full steam ahead with the remake of Subhash Ghai’s Hero. Says a source close to the project, “The entire team is very sure that Sooraj would be even more qualified to play the role lead in Hero once he emerges from his current troubles. Let’s not forget, the protagonist in hero is a rebel and an outcast. The entire Hero team feels Sooraj’s newly-acquired edgy image is perfect for the part.”
One hears the part is now being re-written in darker shades than the original. “Sooraj will play a much darker character than Jackie did in Hero. Jackie played the flute to show his romantic side. Sooraj would be portrayed as a sullen one-man army. No flute, no soft side.”
The horrendous setback in his life has not dampened Sooraj Panscholi’s spirit. His enthusiasm for his impending debut remains unflagged. After the early shock at being thrown into such trying circumstances so unexpectedly, Sooraj has now returned to a tentative routine in jail.
A member of the Panscholi family who visited Sooraj in prison last week says, “Sooraj has resumed his preparation for his debut. Instead of sitting around brooding over his predicament, he is working as hard as possible to keep fit in prison. He told us, ‘There is no point in thinking about when I’ll be out of here. It will happen when it happens. I’d rather focus on keeping myself fit.’ Suraj is making every effort to remain on top of his situation.”

The superstar’s upcoming film ‘Mental’ is currently being shot at Hyderabad and our photographers spotted Salman Khan at the airport with a mystery girl, who we think could be his secret girlfriend. As he did not want to reveal her identity, he immediately sent her off in a car that had come to pick him up.
Salman Khan, looking lean and mean, in a navy blue ‘Being Human’ t-shirt and jeans was surrounded by his bodyguards. He tried to hitch a ride so that he could be united with his girlfriend soon.
In the meantime, some VIPs who were waiting for a local politician reportedly offered the actor their cars but he refused.
The actor then hailed a random car that was passing by and just jumped into it. The driver would have been a very happy person, especially if he was a fan.
